The printer of Tamerlane and Other Poems is listed in this Boston business directory as "Thomas Calvin F. S. printer, 70 Washington," which was then located on an upper floor in the building at the corner of Washington and State Streets. Little is known about Calvin Thomas, who was just nineteen when Poe approached him to print his first book. No other books with the Thomas imprint are known.
